Today, nVidia lifted the NDA and the reviews for the new GT200 platform based GT280 and GT260 video cards, have hit the web. GT200 series are the successors to the G80 and G92 based video cards. These cards should provide a decent idea about the next generation Tesla line which will compete with the recently released AMD Stream Processor: FireStream 9250 which promises to break 1 Teraflop barrier.

 

Summary:

- GPU contains 1.4 billion transistors

- GTX 280: 602 MHz (Core clock), 1107 MHz (Memory clock), 512-bit (Memory Bus Width), 240 Stream processors

- GTX 260: 576 MHz (Core clock), 999 MHz (Memory clock), 448-bit (Memory Bus Width), 192 Stream processors

- Both cards contain dual DVI outputs which can be converted to HDMI

- Pricing information: GT280 for $650 and GT260 for $400
